My journey to Midfield High School has been an exciting ride!  I was born and raised in the Roebuck area of Birmingham and graduated from Huffman High School in 1978.  This began my journey as a life-long learner and teacher.  Every step has taught me many insights into the educational process and ways to reach today's young people.  I have found if we start by meeting their needs, their minds will follow.  It may sound cliche', but it is true, "No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care."  My goal every day is to make a difference in tier lives so they can make a difference in their world.  In that, every day is filled with hope and expectation.

My wife, Terri, and I will be married 35 years in April and live in Leeds.  We have two daughters, Heather who is 28 and a recent graduate of the University of Alabama in Early Childhood Education, and Holly who is 19 and is in her first year at Highlands College in Student Ministry.  Our house is ruled by two Australian Shepherds that are full of energy.
