"Welcome to Midfield High School Counseling Department"

Our Mission

The mission of the school counseling program is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program centered around a rigorous and relevant curriculum that encourages the highest level of achievement through their growth in the personal/social, career, and academic domains.  In partnership with teachers, parents, administrators, and a supportive community, the school counselor will help all students to be successful in their journey of obtaining a high school diploma as a foundation for post-secondary success.

Our Beliefs

The School Counselor of Midfield High School believe:

  1. We believe all students can achieve and receive support to reach their full potential.

  2. Every student should be respected throughout the implementation of the school counseling program.

  3. Every student can be a productive member of society.

  4. Every student has innate gifts to be discovered, developed, and utilized.

  5. Every student has the right to a safe environment.

  6. Every student deserves to be treated with respect and dignity.

  7. Every student should have access to a comprehensive counseling program, which is driven by school data, research, and delivered by professional school counselor to meet the goals of all students.

  8. The school counseling program should be designed, implemented, and evaluated by professional school counselors.

  9. The school counselor should be an advocate for all students, a leader by example, and a bridge between school and home.

  10. The school counselor should exemplify the ethical standards set forth by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and Midfield High School.
